Meet the Students of SH3!

Angel Lin Betty Lin

My name is Angel. The most unique thing about me is that I have a twin sister, Betty. Since we are twins, we have many things that are the same but we also have many things that are different. We were very alike when we were in elementary school because we wore the same clothes almost everyday. As we have gotten older, some things have changed. I wear glasses but Betty doesn’t. Betty likes to cook, I like to eat. We both like sports but Betty likes extreme sports more than me. We both like pop music. My favorite singer is Jay Chow but Betty doesn’t really have a favorite. We both like Italian food and romantic movies. We are outgoing, curious and energetic. We both are interested in Math and in our future we would like to study business but I would like to study financial management or accounting and Betty would like to study hotel management. I guess as twins we are more alike than we are different!




Bobby Lin

Hi! As you can see, I'm the shortest in my class, but it doesn't matter to me. I also can use my abilities to solve problems. I think I have two sides: a public and a private one. When I'm a leader, I can tackle some problems or handle the activities, I will try my best to lead our class to success. I will take care of everything, make really fun activities, be mature, and serious when in public. The private me likes to be a humorous guy, let everybody have fun, and make my life easy. I don't have any special hobbies because, I like to try everything. I can get experience from them, and when I love it I will do it forever. In the future, I hope I can do as well as my father, lead our company to success. Then, I would like to become president and make all Taiwanese people happy!

Eva Au

My name is Eva. I’m seventeen years old. I’m in SH3 class. I don’t have any brothers or sisters. My family and I live in Taichung. We’re very happy.
My favorite hobby is playing piano, painting, and design, because when I was in elementary school, my mom taught me something about design, music, and a little painting.
I have been at Chia Yang High School for two and a half years, and my favorite classes are PE and English class. English class is very profitable for me and PE class is very happy and relaxing. I love it! My goals after I graduate are to study more French and learn more creative ideas. Therefore I must go to university. That will help me find a good job, like being a French teacher, and help me make more money for me and my family. So, I just want to live with my family! However, I love French and creating the things that I like.

Evangeline Hsu



My name is Evangeline. I was born in Jia Yi on September third, 1990, so I am 18 years old now. I have five people in my family: my mother, father, grandfather and brother. Now I live in Taichung City.
My favorite hobby is playing the piano, because I love the music.
I have been at Chia Yang High School for two years. My favorite class is music, of course, because of my favorite hobby.
I haven’t chosen which university I want to study at, but I’m looking around now. I want to find a fashion school. I want to be a beautician and live in New York or Japan.






Tai Tsai

My name is Tai. I love Spongebob Squarepants, because it is quite funny. My favorite subject is English. I hope I can get a high grade on TOEFL and pass the English efficiency test. In the future, I will go to Europe and become a doctor.

Hello! My name is Ellie, this is the sixth year that I study in Chia-Yang High School. I live in Taichung City, which is a part of Taiwan. In my family, I have one father, one mother, one older brother and two dogs. My father is 50 years old, my mother is 49 years old, my brother is 20 years old, and my dogs are 8 and 7 years old. Presently, I am facing a "College Entrance Examination", which is very important for me in order to get in a good university.

My name is Emerson. My interests are sport and music. My goal is to become a superstar and sing on stages around the world. I will try my best to reach my goal and prove to everyone that I can do it.

Perry Lo

My name is Perry Lo. My hobbies are playing sports, watch movies and travelling. I can play many sports. I think basketball is my favorite. While I was studying in elementary school, I began to understand how to play bowling and pool. I have many relatives. My parents, uncles, aunts, cousins and I enjoy playing bowling. One of my uncles has a pool table in his house. I play pool sometimes in his house. This uncle also has a swimming pool, his place is quite entertaining. I like to watch action and comedy movies. Action movies are exciting, and comedies are funny. I like travelling and I have traveled to many countries. I want to travel to Europe, because I have never been there before. Many people say that Europe is very beautiful, so it makes me want to go even more.

My name is Jean and I live in Chang Hua. Learning languages is a very appealing quest to me. My parents and I expect that I become proficient at speaking many languages in the future. That way, we won’t have any difficulties communicating with foreigners while travelling around the world.

Hello!! My name is TJ. I am 18 years old now, 183 cm tall and 67 kg. My hobbies are exercising, kung fu, playing ball and sleeping. Why do I have a special name? My name TJ is from my Canadian History teacher. She gave it to me because I do kung fu. I showed my class in Canada a type of kung fu called tai ji, so that’s why they call me TJ from tai ji. And I really love my name!!

Hello! My name is Pearl. I have a warm family and my parents are liberal. They encourage me to do what I am really interested in. My hobbies are reading and listening to music. My dreams are to travel around the world and experience the culture of different countries. In order to make these dreams of mine happen, I would like to work overseas in the future. My name is David. I have been studying English for quite a long time now; ever since I was attending elementary school. The reason why I have been studying English for such a long time is because I want to study abroad, and my dream is to become a teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a child. I know that it is a really difficult job and I have to work really hard. However, I think I can still make it!







Gary Chang

Hi! I’m a SH3 student. My name is Gary Chang. I’m 17 years old and I live in Ching Shui. My favorite hobbies are kendo and playing the saxophone. Kendo is an exciting sport, because you need to use the stick’s blade to hit your enemy. Playing the saxophone is very musical. It can be elegant, sad or have a jazz sound, so I like playing the saxophone.
Chia Yang High School is my half house, because I have studied at Chia Yang for junior and senior high. This is my sixth years at Chia Yang.
After I graduate, I want to study engineering at a university in Taiwan. I’m not sure which one. So, in the future I want to do engineering work in Taiwan.

My name is Matt. I’m 17 years old and my class is SH3. I have one brother and one sister. I am from Taichung. My hobbies are playing baseball and basketball.
I have been at Chia Yang High School for five years. My favorite class is Chinese, because Chinese is easier than English.
If I have time, I want to go to America to study at university. Then, in the future, I want to live in Canada, because there it is so beautiful and the air is very fresh.




Ed Wang

My name is Ed and I am 20 years old. My hobby is playing drums, so I hope I can get a job revolving around music in the future. Something like a musician or a drum player would be nice. Why? Well, because when I was young, my father taught me how to play drums. Back then, I fell in love with drums. Drums were the equivalent of toys for me when I was a kid. The thing I love best is to play drums with my father or my father’s band, because they teach me how to keep the tempo.

My name is Albee. I’m 17 years old and I’m in SH3. I don’t have any brothers and sisters. I live in Taichung. My favorite hobby is shopping, because there are many strange things that I can find.
I have been at Chia Yang High School for two and a half years. My favorite class was TOEFL class, because then I had my favorite teacher.
After I graduate I want to go to Japan to university and play all round Japan, but I don’t know what I want to study.

Before I work for my father, I dream to go study abroad in Japan. To do so, I am studying Japanese. I am looking forward to it!

Serena Lin

My name is Serena Lin. I am 17 years old. It is my second year at Chia Yang High School. I like to listen to music and play with my friends on weekends. In the future, I want to be an office worker. I just wish to stay in Taichung and be happy!

Jason Chung

Peter Deng

My English name is Peter. My family includes my parents, my older brother, and me. My brother and I may study abroad in Canada. I have always wanted to be an inventor. I have a creative mind that helps me to create new and amazing things. I love writing stories. When I was seven years old, I started writing novels that included my real friends.
That’s what I want to do in the future – write novels. A while ago, I started writing novels on the internet. That was a special experience because it raised my courage.

Ted Zou

My English name is Ted. There are five people in my family: my parents, a brother, sister, and me. I have a happy family because we usually help each other. I like this school very much because it’s an amazing thing that senior two and senior three students like helping senior one students. My English name is Jimmy Wei. I was born in Taiwan. My family consists of my mom and dad, my big brother, and me. Of course, I am the youngest of the family, so everyone in my family loves me so much that I haven’t been hurt, nor have I had to do anything by myself. It makes it kind of hard to live without my family in Chia-Yang, but if I want to study abroad in Canada, I must live alone. I hope to study abroad at the University of Waterloo, UBC, or the U of PEI.

My name is Cassandra. There are five people in my family: my parents, two brothers, and me. My father is a doctor and my mother, a nurse. I am proud that my parents are professional medical people. That influences me because I also want to be a doctor. I have been to many other countries like Japan, China, Thailand, America and Canada. I like traveling, and I like places where it snows. I like winter, but hate summer. Summer is too hot. In the future, maybe I will go abroad; but my favorite country is still Taiwan.

Tommy Wu
Hi ! My name is Tommy and I live in Taichung. I was born on August 1st, 1993 and I’m 16 years old now. I have been learning English for seven years. Why do I want to learn English? Because I think it will be very useful in the future and it is the most used language on the Internet. My hobbies are to play the drums, play basketball and swim. At Chia Yang, my goal is to become good enough in English to be able to go study overseas in a university. There are two people in my family. There is my mom and me. Later, I would like to be a businessman and make money travelling around the world. But more importantly, I could buy my mom a bigger house, and she could stop working and being so tired all the time. I’m really happy to be studying at Chia Yang and I hope this school will help me to make my dreams come true.

Hello! My name is Leslie. I was born in America on November 24th, 1992, but my family moved back to Taiwan when I was only 1 year old. I didn’t get the chance to learn English, but I speak Chinese very well. Eventually, I would like to visit America since it is my country, and I don’t remember the time I spent there because I was too young. My family lives in Tainan now. My family is comprised of my father, my mother, my older brother, my older sister and me. I like monkeys, and I like to listen to music. My previous school was Feng Ho Junior High School in Liouying. Before studying at Chia Yang, I went to school at Nan-Shun High School in Taipei. There are four people in my family. There is my father, my mother, my older sister and me. I like to go shopping and sing songs in my free time. Pizza is my favourite food. In the future, I would like to be a doctor because it is a meaningful job, and Icould help sick people. I want to learn English because I find English interesting.

Hi! My name is Betty, I’m 16 years old and I live in Chang Wa. There are four people in my family. There is my father, my mother, my younger sister and me. I like to listen to music when I feel sad. I love to drink green tea. It is my favourite drink, but I don’t like to eat cookies. In my free time, I like to go to the park with my friends. I’d like to make a long trip to Japan with my family. Before studying at Chia Yang, I went to school at Houjia in Tainan. In the future, I would like to be an English teacher because it seems to me that teaching is a fun job. I like to learn English. Hello! My name is Irene. I was born in Taichung on November 20th, 1992. Because I liked my junior high years at Chia Yang, I’m back for senior high. There are four people in my family. There is my father, my mother, my younger sister and me. I like to ride bicycle in my free time.
After finishing high school, I would like to go to France to study and become a great cook because I wish to be able to prepare good meals for everybody. I think that learning English is important because it will help me everywhere I want to go around the world.

Isaac Shiu
Hi! My name is Isaac. I’m 15 years old. I was born on December 25th, 1992 in Korea; I’m Korean. My family is composed of four people: my dad, my mom, my younger brother and me. Before studying at Chia Yang, I went to school at Xi Yuan Junior High School in Taichung City. I like to play badminton. Later, I want to become a pastor because my parents are both pastors.
I want to learn English because this language is used in most countries. If I can speak it well, I’ll be able to travel in a lot of them.

Kiki Chiang
My name is Kiki. I was born on June 29th, 1993. That makes me 16 years old now. There are five people in my family: there is my mother, my father, my younger sister, my younger brother and me. Before studying at Chia Yang, I went to school at Guang De in Taichung City. In the future, I would like to be a nurse because I want to help doctors to save lives. In my free time, I like to read and go to art museums because I love art. I think that learning English is useful because I want to be able to travel by myself.

My name is Albert, I was born on October 10th, 1992. I am from Taichung. Before studying at Chia Yang High School, I went to Mingdao High School in Taichung. My family is composed of five people: my parents, my two older brothers and me. I like to play basketball, and my brothers usually play with me.
