Senior High 3E Compositions

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?

I think I will be a successful business executive because I will finish my university in 3 years, and then I will go back to work in my father’s company. I will use 3 months to get to know the operation. Then I will control the company for 1 year and lead our company to bigger and better things. At the very least, my company will be in the Top 10 in Taiwan. Being a rich and successful business person will let me have influence in my country. Then I will step into the political field and try to change our country. My slogan will be “I have a dream, it is to change my country.” After I change my country, I will start to participate in the UN. My slogan will change and become “I have a dream, one world – one dream.” By Bobby

I think I will replace Obama’s position to be the next American president. I will save the economy, save all of the jobs, laborers and employers. I will save anybody who has problems because I am the President of the United States.
OK! JUST KIDDING!
Seriously! I thing after I graduate from high school, I will try my best and study hard to go into the NTU (National Taiwan University). So in nearly 5 years, you will see I am a NTU student. Why will I go there to study? Because I want to apply to Harvard University. So the first step is I need to graduate from a top university in Taiwan. Then I can apply to the top university in the world for the Masters Program, and eventually a Doctorate. That’s what I want. I hope I will see myself in NTU in the next 5 years. I hope I can stand on the top of the world in the next 50 years, then I hope everyone will remember me in the next 500 years. By Kenshin

In 5 years, I will be just beginning to be in the everyday world or in graduate school. I will have many choices, either to continue my education or work at a company. I will be an expert in sales. My co-workers under me are all professional and enthusiastic about our jobs. The company where I work is very huge and connected with many countries. I believe that I will gain lots of valuable experiences and skills to improve myself. By Angel

My Work: Superwoman
I will control everything and everything will be done perfectly. I have a good social ability, not only with customers but also with my peers and friends. Everyone will be very happy and work hard on my team, and everyone will cooperate with each other. Laughter will fill the company. Our products will be Number 1 in the market, stores and everywhere.
My Love Life: I will have a boyfriend who may not be handsome but he must be humorous. He won’t have many specific things but he will have a real heart. He will need to take good care of my family and me. The most important thing is he needs to love me.
My Personal Life: I will have a good, comfortable, relaxed time on my weekends. I will be a volunteer to go to the hospitals and orphanages, climb the mountains, ride horses, go to the beach, learn lots of things and do a lot of things that I want. By Betty

I will graduate from my favorite college, then go to Graduate School in another country. I believe I will get this dream. Even though, some people say it’s impossible or possible, I will not care what everyone says. In the 5 years, I will think a lot about what I want or what I need to get the Doctorate’s Degree. Or maybe I will just work to make money, then live in another country. That’s how I see myself in 5 years. I will do it because nothing is impossible. By Tiffany

Actually I have already planned by myself to be in a university in Taichung studying Tourism and working in a barbershop.

First, I will try my best to pass the exam to be a tour guide because it is my dream. I want to be a tour guide to travel the whole world, but if I can’t make this come true, I’ll make my second dream come true.

My second dream is to become a hairdresser so that I can make my hair look fashionable all the time!! Maybe, after my university life, I’ll go to be a tour guide in Japan because I love Japan. I want to learn how to be a good hairdresser in Japan because Japanese hair always looks so fashionable.

So, I think in 5 years, I’ll be a tour guide or be learning to be a cool hairdresser in Japan!! By T.J.

Five years can be long or can be short. We cannot anticipate anything in the future because everything is changing every minute. Even though I cannot anticipate, I can still guess what will happen.

After 5 years, I will have already graduated from a college and finished the hotel management degree in Canada. I will have already found a job in a hotel the last year of my college. I will need to pay whatever it cost for schooling back to my family. I will still be deciding “Am I fit to be a hotel worker?” or “Do I need to study for another degree?”

Every part of my life is choosing the best thing for myself. Therefore, even in 5 years I will still be choosing and deciding. By Weiling

Medical Program Students Visit Austria and Slovakia

Trip to Austria and Slovakia

In words, from David Lee (SH2)

From October 26 to November third, we had a trip to Slovakia and Austria. This trip was very special because all my companions were from Chia Yang High School.
Monday, we arrived at the Vienna international airport; the airport was very small and crowded. The temperature was four degree Celsius; the weather was cold and foggy. After we left the airport, we took a bus to go to the city of Martin. The city was quiet and peaceful and everywhere we could see defoliation.
The environment is really good for students who want to study. There is only 70,000 people living in Martin and the entertainment does not really exist.
We met with Albert Strastky who is the administrator responsible for international students. We had the opportunity to ask him all the questions that we had on our minds and he answered all our questions. When I asked if the Comenius University had a Dentistry Department in Martin, he said no but that there was one in Bratislava.
After the meeting with Albert, we met two Taiwanese students. They study Medicine at Comenius University in Martin. They are in their second year. They also answered all our questions and gave us many advices.
The next day, we went to visit the hospital and the dormitory where we will stay in the future. The hospital was quite different from the hospitals in Taiwan. In Taiwan, the hospitals are huge and very tall while in Martin, the hospitals are old and short. It is divided in many buildings instead of being only one building.
The dormitory is old like most buildings in Martin. It is the European style of buildings. We can have access to two different kinds of rooms. The first type of rooms is 6000SKK$ per month and only one person can sleep in the room. The second type of rooms is 8000SKK$ per month and it is possible to put two or three beds in it, which means that the cost is significantly lower if you have roommates.
Europe is quite well-developed: the environment, the economy and the science are present everywhere. But, in my opinion, they are lacking one law: smoking is accepted in all restaurants and I really had problems accepting that.
On October tenth, we said good bye to Slovakia. We then started our trip to Vienna which is the capital of Austria. The sights were unforgettable.
We went to visit Schonbrunn Palace. The palace is so huge but so attractive. It is one of the most important cultural monuments in Austria and, since 1860, has been on the agenda of a major part of tourists visiting Vienna.
We also visited Saint Stephens’s cathedral which was built in the 11th century. I could not imagine that in the 11th century people could build a cathedral like this one because it is so huge and so tall. The interior decoration of the cathedral is exquisite and solemn. I really loved it.
Finally, we visited the Melk Abbey which has hundreds of windows and thousands of rooms. The library is incredible with hundreds of thousands of books. The Abbey was sublime and I think that I will never see something as nice or as big as this.
The trip was absolutely wonderful and everything that we saw was new to us. Europe is definitely a different world.
Vienna is beautiful and peaceful. I loved the weather and the culture of this country. I also hope that I can go there again next fall.
